Are you at risk?

Diabetes has exploded to epidemic levels in the United States – more than 29 million Americans are living with the disease. Rates of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), primarily caused by diabetes and high blood pressure, have also soared and continue to grow. An estimated 11% of Texans are diabetic, advancing to chronic complications such as CKD at an alarming rate. CKD is a very painful and very expensive disease to manage.

According to the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 96% of people with kidney damage or reduced kidney function are not aware that they have it. CFT has teamed up with the Texas Kidney Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation to educate people about the importance of taking care of your kidneys and providing CKD screenings.
