Partnering with Care Van

The Caring for Children Foundation of Texas’ Immunization Care Van Program is available to provide immunization services upon request and availability in select regions in the state of Texas.We have two programs that protects the children against the deadly diseases.

The Care Van School-Age Program provides immunizations to eligible children 2 months thru 18 years of age, based on Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) criteria.

The Care Van Caregivers Program protects the children and the caregivers from influenza (flu) with the flu vaccine and tetanus and whooping cough (also known as pertussis) with the Tdap vaccine.

Host Requirements

  • Requests must be made at least 60 days in advance of the event

  • Location must enclosed provide area for clinic. We will need an area for registration and and area to provide immunizations

  • If an area is on the 2nd floor or higher, access to an elevator is required

  • Host must provide adequate access to electricity (for vaccine coolers and copy machine)

  • Host must be able to effectively promote the event in the community. Promotions must inform parents that previous immunization records are required.

Participant Requirements

  • Parent or guardian must accompany children under 18 years of age (unless discussed with nurse ahead of time)

  • Parent or guardian must have the child’s most current immunization/shot records

  • School-age immunizations are only provided to qualified students. Click here to view child eligibility requirements.
